Dichroic Glass

This is so special! All the dichroic pendants used in Beadfusion jewellery are unique and hand-crafted. Dichroic glass shines out different colours depending on the direction of the light hitting them - they really need to be seen to be fully appreciated. The pictures here do not always do them justice.
Dichroic glass was originally made for the aerospace indsutry - it has multi-layer coatings which include metal oxides that are vacuum deposited on the glass.
With the colours shifting depending on the angle itis viewed, it has been likened to irridescent dragonfly wings and peacock feathers.

Karen Silver
|

Karen silver is handmade by the Karen Hill Tribe of northern Thailand. It is 99.5 to 99.9% silver, meaning that this is a higher silver content than sterling. Each piece is individual - and these pieces are not hallmarked, although the suppliers I use guarantee their origin.
